This is actually a lot safer than it looks!
Rays have crushing plates in their mouths, but no significant gripping power, so they can’t grab a hand and pull it. You have to sit still and let them get your fingers into their mouth for them to actually put the plates to work. Also, the sharp bits are on the other end, and they only sting when threatened. Clearly, this ray does not feel threatened.
Rays also tame pretty easily when offered food, as seen above.

A timeline of life on earth, all 4 billion years of it, stretched out along a hallway in order to be as large and therefore as detailed as possible, with fossils placed above and below it with their approximate time of death marked out. Maybe with a zoomed-in version of the last few million years in the next room over, there’s been a lot of semi-recent developments.
I need a visual representation of what it is I’m telling people when I show them a fish fossil and tell them it’s 50 million years old.
