Photo of the Day – The distinctive, principally yellow and black plumage of the male Golden-collared Manakin (Manacus vitellinus) certainly makes this bird stand out in its preferred habitat of secondary woodland. The female differs in plumage: drab green, acting as the perfect camouflage for its habitat, minimizing danger during the incubation of eggs or young.
This incredible photo was taken by Rockjumper Chief Network Officer and tour guide, George L. Armistead, in Panama.
