Brown-speckled whipsnake (Ahaetulla pulverulenta)
The brown-speckled whipsnake is a species of tree snake found in India (Western Ghats, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat), Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka.

What else do we find in tree cavities? Many critters use the same kinds of cavities that Red-headed Woodpeckers do.

An adult Red-headed Woodpecker smooshes its nestlings safely under its body when an intruder (the camera) pokes its head into the cavity.
