For others, its like a natural reaction like someone spooks them from behind and there like SHITFUCK turns into a boat.
And this can work both ways. During earlier missions, Prowl is ashamed to admit, the number of stakeouts and surveillance missions that went bust because a human sneezed next to a bot a scared them into root mode.

Also in romantic situations just to bots chillin’ in a car park, not an inch apart bc they’re so gay.

I bet that there were also mechs that, instead of having seizures or maybe as a form of tourettes, would change, or start changing without prompt.
Or mechs that either due to aging or injury take excruciatingly long times to transform.
Or in Blurrs case can transform very quickly but risk pulling something when they do.

Also a rowdy boy! Him and Bulkhead likes to nap near (or on) Miko. Ultra Magnus: Keeps close to Optimus, often only observes the others. Not prone to cuddling. Cliffjumper: Likes tagging along with Arcee. Some times tags along with the rowdy boys.
Megatron: Very bossy, but also very snuggly. Will fight Optimus for snacks. Starscream: Is somehow always found in places he shouldn’t be able to reach. Also louder than Bumblebee. Somehow. Soundwave: Very calm. Already got his tentacles, which he uses to toy around with tiny objects. Rather keeps to himself but doesn’t shun from company. Shockwave: He’s a calm boy too. Is often found with Ratchet for some reason. Knockout: He was born cocky and shiny. Often watches his own reflection in well, literally anything with a reflection. Prone to cling on Starscream or Breakdown. Breakdown: Likes to follow Knockout around. Some times joins the rowdy boys ™. Dreadwing & Skyquake: It’s impossible to keep these two apart. They are also surprisingly fast and always up to no good. Predaking: LORGE BABY BOY. Very playful, also very gentle.
