This cat is, I think, a mosaic. Mosaics are chimeras, i.e. organisms with two different sets of genes depending on where you test them, usually due to absorbing a twin as a fetus. This is basically two cats Frankensteined together in a very spotty, patchwork manner, at least if my suspicions are correct.

Ah, that also makes sense.

Well, mosaics exist, and often look kinda like this, but evidently this is not one.
