This cat is, I think, a mosaic. Mosaics are chimeras, i.e. organisms with two different sets of genes depending on where you test them, usually due to absorbing a twin as a fetus. This is basically two cats Frankensteined together in a very spotty, patchwork manner, at least if my suspicions are correct.

Glofish tank update!! I rescaped today. I’ve been fighting high nitrates and algae because I haven’t been paying attention to the amount I’ve been feeding.
-Glofish are not dyed; they are selectively bred fish whose ancestors were injected with a jellyfish gene to detect poor water quality-
The world’s prettiest GMOs.
The blackish-grey ones are what they look like in the wild, the two white ones are selectively bred for no pigment, and the rest are genetically modified for those colors. They’re perfectly healthy though may be a bit inbred at this point. If left to breed the bright colors tend to eventually fade, but they do breed adn do produce colored offspring.
