I was doing errands today and saw this gopher tortoise (p sure it’s a gopher) from across the street and just HAD to stop to say hi 👋 🐢
Gopher tortoises are a threatened species in Florida and protected by state law
Look at him go!
I didn’t know tortoises could run!
Even young cheetah cubs are capable of quick take-offs and rapid turns.
