mostly toward my younger followers, be on the look out for anyone who has the acronym “MAP” on their blog. MAP stands for minor attracted person which is a code word for pedophile. If you see any around just block, report and stay away

Another acronym that has been in use is NOP which stands for “non offending pedophile” which there is no such thing. There is a full community of these people on this site and if you come across any, DO NOT INTERACT! Block, report and stay away

Also virped which is “virtuous pedophile” also meaning “non offending”

cows are so wild like here I am walking through a field surrounded by 30, 1200 pound animals who are Fully Convinced I am capable of killing them with my bare hands so they are dutifully cautious of me

but then sometimes they suddenly think “hey wait…maybe WE could kill HER” and they start getting uppity so I have to pick up a stick and walk toward them as if I could do anything about it and they think

“oh hm wait….she has a branch now……… … We wouldn’t stand a chance……”

People who are like “don’t call this a heterosexual problem, call this a male problem!” I would like to call your attention to the fact that this tweet was made by a woman, a woman whom frequently puts herself out there as “PROUD WIFE (MARRIED TO A MAN OF COURSE)” and frequently tweets nonsense about her opinions on how society should be back to the heteronormative gender norms.

So yeah? While some of her opinions were formed by male rhetoric, her sexuality is still relevant to toxic mindsets like that.

Jesus.

Look at this, and remember it next time someone says that the gay community survived the AIDS epidemic.

We didn’t survive, we started over. We lost all but an entire generation.

This is what “we survived Reagan, you’ll survive Trump” looks like. No, we didn’t.

The AIDS crisis is a reminder that no matter how cool we are in a moment (like during the height of disco), the instance shit goes south for us cishet people will let us die.

Respectability politics is Russian roulette.

[Image description: Screenshot of a Tweet by Hanif @hanifleylabi that says “The men in white are the surviving members of the original San Francisco Gay Men’s choir. The rest represent those lost to AIDS.”  In the picture with the tweet, about 120-plus men stand in six rows. Most of the men are in dark suits, facing away from the camera toward the wall. Only seven men face the camera, dressed in bright white shirts. End image description.]

This gecko rips off its own skin to escape predators

If you tried to grab a Geckolepis megolepis gecko, it would likely slip from your hand — leaving only its scales in your grasp.

Geckolepis megolepis is the newest and largest-known member of the world’s fish-scaled geckos, according to a formal description published Tuesday in PeerJ. Like other lizards or salamanders, these geckos can drop their tails after being caught by predators, but they can also escape capture thanks to break-away skin.

The coconut crab is an incredible crustacean. It’s a terrestrial hermit crab and the biggest land-living arthropod in the world, reaching possibly the biggest sizes an animal with exoskeleton can reach outside of water in modern times (In the Carboniferous period, when oxygen levels in the atmosphere were higher, insects and other arthropods could get even bigger due to their way of breathing).

Peculiarly for a crab, they feed mostly on nuts, fruits and other vegetable matter and instinctivelly climb trees for protection!

We’ve talked about these guys before, but I haven’t ever seen a photo that shows them having such intense pigmentation!

Eciton burchellii

Eciton burchellii is a species of New World army ant in the genus Eciton. This species, one of the most extensively studied ant species, consists of expansive, organized swarm raids that give it the informal name, Eciton army ant. This species displays polymorphic caste features, with the soldier ants having much larger heads and mandibles. In terms of geographical distribution, this species is found in the Amazon jungle and Central America.

I would think the knowledge that these sorts of creatures exist would help explain to humans just why Scraplets are so utterly horrifying despite their miniscule size.
