hell, this trend was observed in ancient rome, concerning slavery, which in rome wasn’t a division of color, but caste. i wish i could remember where i saw it so i could quote it, because my memory is really vague, but one of those historian guys observed that slaves captured in war were smart and spirited, but their captive-born children were dull, and suggested it was the captivity rather than the ancestry that caused it.
