The Laotian rock rat or kha-nyou (Latin: Laonastes aenigmamus), sometimes called the “rat-squirrel”, is a rodent species of the Khammouan region of Laos. Upon their initial discovery, Jenkins and coauthors (2005) considered the Laotian rock rat to represent a completely new family. Jenkins et al. (2004) did not compare the specimens to known rodent fossils. After such a comparison, Dawson et al. (2006) were of the opinion that the Laotian rock rat belongs to a previously described family which had only been known from fossils, the Diatomyidae. The discovery of the Laotian rock rat means an 11 million-year gap exists in the fossil record where no diatomyids have been found. Mary Dawson described Laonastes as the “coelacanth of rodents”.

Full body design attempt of TFMR Soundwave. Well at least I tried… Since a TV has taken its place on the chest, Laserbeak has to dock on Soundwave’s backside. I’m not sure where Ravage go, so there’s some major design flaw I have to think over.
Soundwave facts
Soundwave is about a couple of meters shorter than Starscream.
Soundwave speaks through displaying words on screen. He can also provide audio clips or sometimes produces noises like an old modem, but he does not have a voice of his own.
However, he can mimick other person’s voice pattern. Soundwave has a library of voice patterns he can use, and that includes majority of high-ranking Autobot officers. Hijacking an Autobot comm line and giving false orders was the most infamous trolling Soundwave was famous for.
It is not known if sunning his solar membranes ever do anything beneficial to Soundwave’s health, but he does it often anyway because it’s warm and feels so good.

Look at the eyes on the deep sea fish IPNOPS. They’re some of the most modified eyes ever known in a vertebrate. It’s basically lost “eyeballs” in favor of huge, concave lenses, perfect for gathering even the faintest light, possibly used to hunt bioluminescent invertebrates.
I’ve known about these since drawings of them when I was little but I never saw such clear photos of a living one before.
