In the spirit of Halloween I have created a pumpkinhead! …sort of. Pumpkins are gourds, but not all gourds are pumpkins. This boy is literally named after a type of bottle gourd, so. Not quite a pumpkin.

I don’t know too much about Calabash at the moment, other than he’s tall and awkward and on fire all the time. It’s a harmless fire, it just feels a little warm, and if you stand close enough you can hear faint wood crackling noises. He emits flying embers if startled and can actually “flare up” completely if he gets overly emotional about something – in which case the fire can be harmful.

He appeared in my notes one day after lamenting missing out on the big Pumpkin RP Group that the net fam started several years back and got super into, and still use the characters from to this day in fandom transplants or just as non-fandom OCs. I was too damn shy and self-conscious to get involved at its height and I missed it.

But in recent weeks my dear @glasseyeartspy, who was involved, has been itching to do something with those characters again, and he sidled up to me and said I should make some too. And whaddya know, this guy happened.
