Ooooo this guy is setting up a tank for some gummy sharks! Personally I find that they do better in pina colada flavored slurpee, but they can survive in the cherry flavor with Coke as long as you don’t add in TOO much blue raspberry.

You would think that they are perfectly evolved to thrive in blue raspberry slurpee because of their coloring, but their natural habitat is mostly made of contrasting colors (like pina colada slurpee). This is because the fully mature gummy shark is still very tiny, so their natural defense against predators is a poison they can secrete from their skin when in danger from being eaten by other gummy fish. The bright colors serve as a warning to them to STAY AWAY! DO NOT EAT!!! Additionally, blue raspberry slurpee is missing several key nutrients that these charming critters need to thrive.

I love this but im just sitting here wondering how he thinks hes gonna carry that lol. Like. For one thing, thats a ten gallon aquarium and full of water that would weigh around 90 pounds(unsure of slurpee density, but it does have a lot of ice in it so like, maybe 80 pounds???). For another thing, AQUARIUMS ARE UNWEILDLY AS FUCK. I can carry a full five gallon bucket with pretty minimal issue, but a full 5 gallon tank? No thank you. The most ive ever done was fill about half way in the tub and then fill it the rest of the way once its where i wanted it. Now multiply that difficultly by two! And maybe add some because in addition to being hard to carry because of the weight distribution its also a lot harder to hold onto because the dimensions are different, like holding a cat versus holding a small dog.

Also, reminder for those looking to keep gummy sharks- always make sure to condition your slurpee using an appropriate dosage of pop rocks and to get a filter that can cycle slurpee as most water filters cannot. And while gummy sharks are small i would reccomend no more than six in a ten gallon as they do litle to have space to swim together and have a somewhat high bioload. Happy keeping everyone!
