Some sketches of the wild Raven while he is still in the park, he is a joy to sit with and draw. Even if he tries to steal my sketchbook at every opportunity.
Good Boys get bananas. This wee one-and-a-half pound bantam rooster was faced with a fox attempting to infiltrate his coop nary an hour ago and he decided the best course of action was to try and KICK THE SHIT OUT OF ITS STUPID FOX FACE. He lost a spur in the battle through the fence, but he did not lose his life, or any of his hens’ lives. He bravery allowed his hens to raise the alarm and gave me time to waylay the beast. Corporal is The Good Boy. The Best Boy. The Bravest Boy.
please tell corporal i would Die for Him
Just a reminder that roosters aren’t evil and should be appreciated, too!!
Please look at Benny the perfect rooster keeping as many of his ladies warm as he possibly can. He has four hens underneath him in these photos. It’s mostly old, disabled, or especially shy hens who tend to seek him out for warmth.
This Big Boy is a Brahma, the largest breed of chicken. They’re also one of the gentlest and tamest chickens out there, a bit like the Great Danes of poultry. He lives in Kosovo with his (very proud) owner Fitim Sejfija, and two hens, where he is a good and gentle man and very loved.
Brhamas typically don’t get quite this big (He’s 16.5 lbs and almost 3 feet tall. most are closer to 14 lbs and 2′6″) but they’re really nice and cuddly birds.
@coelasquid I saw this and immediately thought this is where they got the fluffy space-future raptors from
