🐯

🐯

🐯

good morning everyone have an absolutely furious mongoose

It’s cuter when you recognize that the lion with visible spots is a juvenile. There’s a very high chance the other lion that runs over to investigate is the MOTHER.

The first lion is asking for comfort because she was given a big spook!!! and she needs mommy to tell her it’s safe and ok!!!! (What’s cuter is that mommy clearly reassures her, and goes on to take the parent role of ‘deal with the scream rat in order to protect my large and easily frightened daughter’)

this is all in all an adorable video 10/10

Who Would Win?

Three apex predators

OR

One Screaming Long Boi

I think the spooked child is a male, see the mohawk-mane starting to grow? The mongoose is probably protecting a nest.

eels

okay but what kind of eels

update: thanks to a tumblr user who sadly dropped off the comments before I could catch their name, these are very likely new zealand longfin eels! Here is artist Stephanie Bowman feeding some more eel friends and talking about them:

I am jealous of the people who get to feed eels.

Me consuming media dealing with werewolves: “okay but if you’re gonna lock yourself in that basement during your transformation have you thought of including some enrichment?? How about a treat ball or a frozen Kong?? What are your thoughts on sniffing out treats”

Good god the rampant destruction makes so much more sense now! The wolf has no mental stimulation so its starts destroying things because its BORED.

This is such a good idea!

Also, remember to protein load to avoid ravening. Beef, chicken, fish- whatever, just LOTS OF IT. The change takes a lot out of you, and the wolf will go out hunting for it if you don’t provide. Don’t bother with tofu. It’s no good trying to be a vegetarian by day if you’re a humanitarian by night.

I figured out a simple guide to the alignment chart last night

Lawful: Rules matter more to me than individuals.
Chaotic: Individuals matter more to me than rules.

Good: Other people’s well-being is more important than my own.
Evil: My own well-being is more important than other people’s.

Neutrals: My opinion of what is more important is determined on a case-by-case basis.

So a Lawful Good character’s guiding moral philosophy might be “I follow the rules because the rules keep people safe, even if they are sometimes inconvenient or harmful to me or other individuals.” A Chaotic Evil character’s guiding moral philosophy would be like “Screw the rules and screw you.”

This is a very succint way of explaining a long post from a few months ago. It is also kind of how it was originally written, and is what I use. No more “Is he chaotic neutral or chaotic evil” questions.

It also makes Evil a playable alignment

Now, the term “criminally small” gets thrown around a lot on this blog. But I ask you… are you ready to behold true tininess?

This baby Mozambique rain frog [Breviceps mossambicus] was found and phtoographed near the Vis-Agier resort in Sodwana Bay, South Africa. These frogs require no water source to reproduce, instead laying eggs underground which then hatch by direct development into tiny frogs like the one you see above. These frogs inhabit a wide range of central and southern Africa, and are most commonly found after brief periods of rain. Images by Vis-Agie Resort on Facebook.
