It’s a mix of hell and outer space.

how are u going to tell me mermaids dont exist then

dont quote me on this but im pretty sure weve only found baby giant squids so we dont actually know how big they can be

we also know like nothing about lobsters since most of them on the ocean floor and some marine scientists predict that, theoretically, there could be submarine sized lobsters

@leviathansuggestion @deepsea-suggestion

If mermaids exist, they don’t come up for air, meaning they aren’t mammals. They’d more likely be piscine.

Avoid video games that use extrinsic motivation. A video game should at least mostly rely on intrinsic motivation, meaning that the playing of the game itself is the fun part, not the reward you get for playing the game. If you don’t enjoy the gameplay, but you want to earn lootboxes, you’ve fallen into the intentionally exploitative system operating within so many games nowadays, and you need to find another game, because you’re not having fun.

It doesn’t sound serious, but this kind of thing can make depression way worse if you’ve already got depression.

can you help me id something? theres these fly like bugs about the size of a humming bird that come out in the summer time, around dusk. theyre quite large looking for an insect!!

coolbugs:

I am happy to help folks id things if they have a photo and can tell me the location and date of the photo. Otherwise, ID by description is going to be very hard, unless you live near where I do (New England, USA, North America, Earth…:-)).

Facebook also has a lot of good insect ID groups if you are active over there…

Look up “hummingbird moth”.

For all the artists out there

Youre telling me I threw away 10 dollar markers FOR NOTHING

REBLOG to save a life and a wallet!

Plus copics are actually refillable and you can buy more colored ink online for pretty cheap!

So yeah dont throw out copics.

NO NO NO NO!

Never refill a Copic with regular isopropyl alcohol unless you have absolutely no other option.

Copic markers have their own ink refills to go with each marker,

They look like this and cost around the same price as a Copic Sketch maybe slightly more however they can be used to refill a marker several times

By using isopropyl alcohol what you’re doing, in fact, is diluting what little ink you have left in your make, therefore changing the shade of it.

Of course the one exception to this rule is the colourless blender 0 which is a marker that is full of regular isopropyl alcohol.

As a side note, DON’T throw away your marker if one/both of the is damaged

Copic also make replacement nibs for all of their markers

Which are much cheaper than buying a new marker as you get multiple in a pack.

Reblogging to save an artist. Copics are meant to be reusable and I know how hella expensive those things are. NEVER throw out your Copic markers!

Finally some decent weather to work on harness training outdoors. It was still a little cold though so she wasn’t too thrilled.

Do not put your cat on a leash. If you want a dog, get a dog. If you live somewhere that’s dangerous to have a cat, don’t have a cat. Animals are not an accessory, having a pet is a privilege, not a right. Don’t train an animal to perform for your entertainment. Fed up with this hipster bullshit.

@fuckyeahfuncats Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, however it is my choice to harness train my cat; A choice that is based on the fact that cats are an environmentally devastating invasive species and that the outdoors (regardless of where you live) are an unsafe, unpredictable environment for any free-roaming domestic animal to have unlimited access to. A harness/leash combo allows me to control how my cat interacts with that environment in a safe manner. I can quickly move her out of harms way if necessary and do not worry about her running off and getting lost, or worse. I also have plans to build an outdoor enclosure (catio) this summer to allow her more unrestricted outdoor access while still keeping her safe from danger.

Also, I don’t see how training my cat to accept and walk on a harness/leash, while safely enjoying the outdoors is considered entertainment. If anything it is for HER (the cat’s) entertainment. Not only does she get to exercise some of her natural instincts (she can still hunt and stalk all she wants, she just can’t catch and kill, for that I provide her with frozen-thawed feeder mice to “kill” and eat) she also gets to interact with the local feral cats and wildlife by scenting messages they left behind or watching them from a safe distance. If I ever thought my cat disliked wearing the harness, and walking on leash, than I would stop using it, but she loves it because it means she gets to go (safely) have fun outside.

God forbid I decide to take a few photos of my cat safely enjoying the outdoors on her harness and share them online to hopefully brighten up someones else’s day.

Teaching a cat to walk safely on a harness is cruelly forcing them to perform for entertainment now? Lmfao you’d think a blog that’s supposed to be about funny cats would be less up their own ass and be able to figure out why harness training is a good thing on their own but I guess they’d rather be a public jackass and have it explained to them that way instead.

Reblog if u support hipsters walking their cats

It’s a CAT. Y’all know cats don’t put up with things they don’t like, right? If that cat didn’t like the leash, we would all know about it. It would be near-impossible to get the harness on, too.

And, heck, train animals for your entertainment! If they enjoy doing whatever it is, teach them to do it. Train your dog to jump through a hoop for treats. Train your fish to play tiny fish soccer. Train your bird to sing. Teaching an animal “hey, if you do this thing I like I’ll give you treats” is in no way abusive, manipulative, exploitative, or anything else negative.

If men stopped working…the world would continue on.

If women stopped working, then things would get ugly.

What?

there has been an instance where this happened.
it was 1975 and icelandic women decided not to work for one day.

working as in cooking, cleaning, taking care of the children, doing chores and so on, not only “not showing up to your workplace”. women did nothing that day, except showing up in reykjavik and protesting for gender equality, equal pay and equal representation in parliament, you know, cool stuff.

you know what happened? havoc. men were left with food to cook and children they never took care of to pick up from kindergarden and entertain for the day. they went en masse to the food shops buying sausages because they could cook nothing else, they had to bond with children they never spent more than a couple hours a day with. they struggled combining their work day and the domestic tasks they had to sort out. and this just for one day.

iceland in 1975 stopped working and things indeed got ugly.
so ugly that women in the following decades became woke AF and soon it happened that women became president, took half of the seats in parliament and achieved one of the best living environments in the world.

is your astonishment solved now?

yES

Here’s an article on it

Very true.

people who are like “yeah, but i’m sure the same thing would happen if men left the workforce!!!” not really tho bc look at WWII??

^

Literally what happens then is women say “Ok fine we’ll do that too” and do it.
