āThe California State Legislature approved a resolution on Tuesday denouncing medically unnecessary surgeries for intersex children.
āIntersex children should be free to choose whether to undergo life-altering surgeries that irreversibly ā and sometimes irreparably ā cause harm,ā the resolution states.
SCR 110 was introduced by Sen. Scott Wiener, a Democrat whose district includes San Francisco, and it was supported by Equality California, a statewide LGBTQ advocacy group, and interACT, an intersex youth advocacy organization.
In a statement provided to NBC News, Wiener said the resolution ārecognizes that Californiaās intersex community is a part of our stateās diversity and should be embraced.ā
āThese surgeries should be performed only with informed consent by the person whose life will be permanently impacted,ā Wiener stated. āA baby cannot provide that consent.ā
āThese surgeries can have significant negative impacts on peopleās lives, particularly if the gender chosen by the physician and parents is different from the childās ultimate gender identity,ā Wiener continued.
People, please be careful. There are also people tracking children and people and putting bids on them based on their profile pictures on whatsapp, tracking and kidnapping them. Especially young children, so please be cautious, especially parents who have their children as their profile pictures.
Please pass this on to everyone so that they are aware of the danger. I donāt how it is all around the world but I know it canāt just be here so please please spread the word. Thank you.

Fun fact about me as a little kid:Ā When I was about six years old, I used to live in Texas, and back then, I sincerely believed that tumbleweeds hatched from eggs.
My logic was thus: my family lived in the middle of practically nowhere, and I would see them rolling around a lot across the flatlands. I wondered how a plant could grow if it was rolling around all the time and didnāt have any leaves or flowers like other plants. But then I saw this nature documentary (NatGeoās āReally Wild Animalsā) about coral reefs that described coral as āan animal that looks like a plantā . So I figured that tumbleweeds were a kind of āland coralā, I.E. a weird sort of animal that just looked like a dried-up shrub. From there I figured they laid eggs (purely on a guess). I imagined they were as big as soccer balls and had soft shells, like snake eggs.Ā
A couple years later I moved from Texas and learned that they were plants; they just grew like regular shrubs and would dry up and snap off at their base to roll around and spread seeds. Still, the idea ofĀ āland coralā stuck with me- any artists/writers out there, feel free to use this as inspiration.
