I think more importantly I am an Australia. So if you ask an Australian about the god-like Aussie icon that is Steve Irwin you’re going to get pretty similar responses.
I can’t put into words the impact Steve Irwin had on Australia; in wildlife education, safety, conservation and just general fascination with our native fauna and flora. He had such a profound influence on Australian culture and really brought wildlife conservation to the forefront of the public’s mind.
Think of the sort of impact Sir David Attenborough has on many people, and it would be very similar to how Aussie’s feel about Steven Irwin.
A list of entities who don’t like Steve Irwin:
some snakes that were kind of annoyed by being picked up
1 crocodile who didn’t feel sufficiently admired
maybe some wombats
some parrots
IDK, some kind of new hyper-vegans who think you shouldn’t even go look at wild animals?
