Yeah, if someone is freaking out they’re gonna be using a lot of oxygen and will pass out fairly soon. Still, it takes longer than, like, 20 seconds.
It definitely takes longer but, this might be inappropriate to share so please delete if it makes you uncomfortable, I was almost strangled to death by someone as a teen and after a minute or so the force combined with my panic started to make me black out. So while I don’t think it would kill someone in less than a few minutes, it would probably knock them out relatively fast.
