When fish fight

I’m not sure they’re even doing that on purpose. It may be that they just happen to have burrowed at a distance where the other’s hole is in the perfect spot for a dumping heap. 

Anyone know what these are? They look like some sort of jawfish, but I’m not familiar with them.
