Sometimes baby chicks (i.e. poultry) are born with curled toes, and this is exactly what you do to fix that. if they have splayed legs, you kinda hobble them with a bandaid until the legs stop being splayed. Lil babies pretty quickly recover from those sorts of problems if the limbs are held in the right position.
