I am STRONGLY considering making a diamond-shaped lap blanket and then covering the whole thing in an outer assembly to make it into a flounder. That seems not overly difficult, and I have a sewing machine. It was, like, my grandmother’s or something, it’s old, but it’s electrical and it works.

Actually, I think it was my great-grandmother’s. Came around no more than a decade after electric sewing machines were invented, if I remember right. I’ll have to check with my mom.
