Man, that’s the fastest fire start I’ve ever seen on a survival show.

The guy has a chunk of magnesium, and he makes a pile of dry grass and powdered zebra dung, then scrapes the magnesium over the heap. A few big ole sparks jump off, they catch the grass, and bam, match-sized fire immediately. Two scrapes and that’s all it takes.

I guess it’s easier to start fires in bone-dry Africa.
