My Patreon has just been suspended on account of posting NSFW content publicly, despite my page being marked as Adult Content.
I don’t know if I completely missed this (I like to think I thoroughly read the guidelines on adult content before starting my account back in September) or if it was a recent addition, but whatever the case, it seems to be against their rules now! Read up on them here – https://www.patreon.com/guidelines#adult-content
Even if it’s one post from years and years ago, you’re still at risk for suspension! From what I’ve seen, the suspensions are happening on a fairly large scale, which means that even if you’re immediate in switching your public posts over to Patron-Only, it can take over a week, or perhaps longer to have your account un-suspended. For artists that rely on Patreon for a decent chunk of their income, you can see where this creates problems!
If you’re a creator, here’s a copyable link to where you can view all of your public posts! If you see anything as NSFW in there, edit it, and change it from Public to Patron-Only. Believe me, it’s much easier to take a few minutes to edit all your posts than it is to deal with having been suspended
