Poor baby, look at him. Look at the ears, the tense face, the lip-licking, the whites of his eyes flashing. Those are appeasement gestures. He just wants to go somewhere quiet to eat, not have a camera shoved in his face. Fennecs are shy and can easily be stolen from by other creatures, they eat in private where they’re safe.

This is not cute. This is an extremely stressed animal that thinks its food might be taken away.

These little guys are not good pets. They’re adorable, but they belong in the wild or in zoo enclosures. They are not dogs, they are not cats, they are not domesticated, and they are not good pets
