unfitting things ive heard used as jungle ambiance;

• bleating sheep
• guinea pig wheeks
• squirrel chattering

animal sounds I’ve heard attributed to the wrong animal;

• Giraffes making that Gobi the Camel groan
• Ostriches making peacock noises
• you know that tiny screaming/squeaking rain frog? Cartoon Network loves that one recently as a noise for any small animal. Ranging from a cave salamander to a young badger.
• coots making quacking noises
• so many. so many i cant even name

animal sounds that will always make me laugh and are underrated;

• animals being voiced by a purposedly unconvincing actor going “meow.” or “bark.” or just making noise

There’s always the ‘red-tailed hawk scream representing literally any kind of large bird’ one. Or the rattlesnake rattle for any type of snake (frequently pythons).

those last two tho yes the struggle is real.

Or kookaburras being used for every monkey sound ever.
