Hey ship you seem like you might know the answer to this, if you don’t no worries. I got attacked by a red winged blackbird today on my regular route to work (I have to walk). Do you have any idea why the birds (that I otherwise have passed multiple times with no problem) would attack? And if not, any tips on how to get by them without attack later (since I still have to go to work and there’s no good alternate route)?

glumshoe:

They must have a nest nearby that they are defending. If you can walk on the opposite side of the road or move out of the area quickly, they may be less likely to swoop you, but otherwise it’s just a matter of waiting for them to finish nesting.

I guarantee there’s a nest. Wear a hat/helmet and try not to get too close, or just run like heck.
