Real q: If youre not sure about peoples’ pronouns beforehand, is it ok to use they/them? I know you should always ask if you’re not sure, but on the rare occasion you can’t ask because the person is not around?

I’ve had this happen a few times, so I’m not sure and I always use gender neutral terms to be as respectful as possible.

YES! Very okay to use they/them if you sincerely don’t know.
