can you help me id something? theres these fly like bugs about the size of a humming bird that come out in the summer time, around dusk. theyre quite large looking for an insect!!

I am happy to help folks id things if they have a photo and can tell me the location and date of the photo. Otherwise, ID by description is going to be very hard, unless you live near where I do (New England, USA, North America, Earth…:-)).

Facebook also has a lot of good insect ID groups if you are active over there…

Look up “hummingbird moth”.
