On the one hand, I understand that heads are hard to remove and decapitation isn’t as easy as fiction makes it out to be.
On the other hand, I’m watching Forged in Fire, and they like to test final weapons on pig carcasses. Entire carcasses, everything but the entrails. More than once, they’ve chopped these carcasses clean in half, or gone mostly through and just left a bit of skin. There’s no way it’s harder to cut a head off than to cut a pig in half.
