I’m applying for a kennel assistant job at a vet hospital in order to gain observation hours for my CVA. Because it’s a hospital and they obviously carry medication, they do drug testing. I smoke weed. Will they care if weed shows up or are they just worried about prescriptions? I’m sure every employer is different but I’d love to know what the general consensus is.

Buddy I can’t answer that. I suppose it depends on the hospital and whether marijuana is legal where you are but I cannot offer you advice, and realistically neither can anyone else. A general consensus is not going to help you keep your job.

If you really need that job, you should probably try not smoking weed.

If it’s OK if you don’t get the job, ask them. They’re gonna find out sooner or later, may as well be sooner so no one’s time is wasted if they mind.
