The fact that guest posts can be among the best and most popular is proven by this white cloud mountain minnow caresheet by @scalestails. Did you know white clouds are not tropical fish, can’t be kept in small tanks and don’t make good Betta tankmates?

These guys can actually be good tankmates for goldfish, depending on whether or not the goldie tries to eat them. They need cooler water, like goldfish do.
Which is why you shouldn’t keep them with bettas. Bettas need water at a minimum of 78 degrees, preferably 80, while these guys need water at 76 and below. While that doesn’t seem like much, keep in mind that (almost all) fish are ectothermic. Their body temperature is the same as the temperature of the water. 2-4 degrees is a lot when we’re talking body temperature, especially on something that small.
