my mom linked me a fb video where two people talked about how bad air fresheners, diffusers, and candles are for you and your pets, and how it greatly increases the risk of cancer, etc. they had some sources but they were kind dubious. do you have any proper sources on this, or is it bunk?

I mean, maybe if you have a thousand candles burning at any given time and are surrounding yourself with smoke constantly? I can’t think of any reasonable way to give yourself cancer with candles.

I will say that you should be careful about essential oil diffusers and pets. Some essential oils are toxic to pets. Birds are extremely sensitive to anything in the air and shouldn’t have any of the three used around them. Not because it causes cancer, though.
