I need suggestions on a mineral that might have a cooling sensation if put into the right sort of concoction, something that would work for stupid robots. I’ll happily go hand-wavey if I have to, but something real would be fantastic. 😀 (I’m having issues finding anything in my own hunting so far.)

Maybe look at substances that change electric properties, like superconduction, piezoelectric, dielectric – see if any of that stuff might FEEL like cold to a robot?

Mint feels cold because the sensors in your mouth are triggered by the menthol and get ‘confused’, so, if you can’t come up with something, you can probably just decide that a mineral has a similar substance/effect.
