I guess I have just, like, a liberal definition of animal abuse because for me, if you see someone is telling you that what you’re doing will legitimately hurt your animal unless you make a change, and your response is to not care and block the person, then yeah that’s animal abuse. Deliberately ignoring sound advice from multiple experienced and researched sources to continue on your way that harms your animal is abuse. Willful negligence in pet care is abuse. You’re allowing your animal to come to harm out of apathy or ego. That’s abuse. It doesn’t matter how much you think you love your animal, if you ignore their care out of your own convenience and they can or will come to harm from that, it’s abuse.
