New dream thing: 

A timeline of life on earth, all 4 billion years of it, stretched out along a hallway in order to be as large and therefore as detailed as possible, with fossils placed above and below it with their approximate time of death marked out. Maybe with a zoomed-in version of the last few million years in the next room over, there’s been a lot of semi-recent developments.

I need a visual representation of what it is I’m telling people when I show them a fish fossil and tell them it’s 50 million years old.
