People are going “Uh actually he’s been canonically genderfluid since Norse Mythology.”
Y’all, this is Marvel’s Loki, which picks and chooses which parts of the original mythological inspiration to acknowledge and which ones to ignore. So, yeah it’s a big deal.
Also, while I can’t 100% confirm, this might be the first on-page use of the word “genderfluid” to describe him (and he uses it himself!) So, even considering his shape-shifting nature, and past discussions of his identity, this is still a big step.
