This would be a gecko who hatched very recently, probably from an egg in the walls of your house. Such cuties! And hard to catch, congrats.

Probably best not to keep him captive and stress him out further. He should be OK in cooler weather, being nocturnal and all, and you can always put him nearish the house so he can hide under the foundation if he wants. He’ll find his way back to the house sooner or later, they like houses, he just needs some help getting outside.
