Watching AOTC now and we’re on the execution scene, and my (extremely tired, like lying-on-the-floor-about-to-legitimately-fall-asleep-on-the-carpet tired) roommate just went on a rant about the animals in the coliseum and how they just want to be happy: 

“If I had six legs and a lot of teeth, I’d just want to be running around a field somewhere, y’know? There’s no grass! And this guy! He just wants to roll around in the mud! And this little dude, he just wants to be lying in an ice cave somewhere. Eatin’ a seal. Y’know? I’d be mad too if I was a snow beast stuck in the sand!”

The big horned thing is a reek. They’re normally herbivorous and docile, but get aggressive and red if fed meat. The wide-mouthed cat thing is a nexu, and the silvery-green pointy critter is an acklay. There’s Wookiepedia articles on all of them if your exhausted roommate wants to read about ‘em.
