so the strangest thing just happened!

i was minding my own business, sitting around, getting ready for halloween, when i started hearing this really low, almost foghorn-like honking and the sound of scraping metal.
so i go out to investigate, follow the sound, and i see something struggling with the fence by the dumpster thing, pieces of pumpkin everywhere. i go over and see its a clown, chained to the fence, leg stuck under the fence, honking at me with this pitiful expression, and then i notice its face

now, im not new to this fucking hobby– ive studied clowns my whole life, ive worked at shelters, at coulronarians, im not fucking inexperienced, but i have NEVER seen a clown like this. and its clearly a clown, not some dude in paint.

hes in my house right now, i got him bandaged up and fed some candy corn, but god, WHAT the FUCK IS HE? is he a new breed? why was he chained up by the dumpster? he seems friendly, but im watching him closely.

@clownbiology @clown-blr have either of you ever seen these kind of markings before? theyre beautiful, but i think he might be a new breed.

okay, just got back from the coulronarian, hes not microchipped. but thats not the weird bit.
We got home, got back into the clown tent, and i noticed after a few minutes he was staring at the lights. like, STARING staring. and im thinking, does this dude like the lightbulbs? is that it?
so i get out a flashlight, take it over to him, hes. immediately interested.
when i turned on the flashlight, he starts clapping,
takes it out of my hands and he puts it …. on the floor, facing up, turned on.
then the little dude starts JUMPING BACK AND FORTH OVER IT. like some sort of dance? ive never seen this before.

then it hits me. “Jack be nimble, jack be quick, jack jump over the candle stick.”
i could have slapped myself.

anyway his name is jack and i have no idea what he is

That’s really odd. I wonder if he might be imported from another part of the world, and that’s why you aren’t familiar with his species?

How big is he?

Have you considered offering him an actual candle, under supervision of course, to see what he thinks of it?

Or pumpkins? Since it’s about that time of year, maybe offer him a pumpkin or even a jack-o-lantern.
