The OTW (Organization for Transformative Works, which is the mother organization of Ao3) is NOT going to shut down if they don’t reach their donation goal. Their current donation drive, while important in the long run for the organization, is not a life-or-death situation.

Please stop spreading the information that the Ao3 is going to be shut down! It’s making authors deeply anxious and the OTW obviously does not want to force their patrons into donating via fear-mongering, so don’t put words in their mouths.
