I would think that so long as you provide plenty of cover and hiding places, a bioactive would be great for roaches 🙂 just make sure to research whether your cleanup crew and your roaches will get along.
It depends on the species of roach. Some will hide nonstop if there’s light on them, some really don’t care. Domino roaches take a year to mature, but are very bold and brightly colored as adults, they’re great for display tanks.
The only downside of bioactive is that some small inhabitants of bioactive enclosures, like isopods, will eat roach eggs and oocathae.
