what’s the best kind of alien? flying? aquatic? scaly? big? small? i want to draw aliens but i have No ideas

here’s an idea: draw a sapient penguin alien race; as in they’re clearly avian but evolved to swim from flying. u could look at penguins (obvs), seals, water fowl and fish for inspiration. maybe even reptiles if u wanna add scales. be sure to make ur alien race vary too, from emperor penguin to rock hopper penguin 

And do NOT give the females boobs or hips, that is not how birds work.
