Over the past few months I’ve created a character known only as the Sassomancer – a modern-day chaotic neutral necromancer who’s always backlit with sleeves of inconsistent lengths.
Random question: has anyone ever sneezed while playing their instrument?? I’ve literally been playing the saxophone for like 9 years and that has never happened to me
uhh yes hello friend i too am an alto saxophone player. don’t sneeze. it’ll make THE WORST HONK SOUND. sounds like all the geese in the world working together as a choir. everyone in the room (around 100 people at that time) turned and looked at me. don’t. sneeze.
I wanna say once, and I hit my lips against my mouthpiece.

I laughed while playing my trumpet and it sounded like a dying horse
Never sneezed. Have coughed. It made a weird squeak. Also, laughing and playing is insanely difficult
my favorite thing to do: make faces at my friends during rehearsal so they laugh and miss their entrances
my band director’s favorite thing to do: say something that isn’t that funny, so nobody laughs, but for some reason the entire flute section thinks it’s funny and we all laugh and miss our entrances
There’s a whole group of turtles that fold their necks into their shells sideways rather than pulling them straight back (called sidenecks). Several of them have very long necks that they can fold back into their shell and then shoot out to grab passing prey. Snakeneck turtles have truly impressive neck reaches.

They have such cute creepy little faces. If they didn’t all get so big I would love to have one (puts another turtle on my Someday list).
The other trouble is that snakenecks can sometimes be a bit nippy and since their necks are long enough to reach all the way to the back of their shell NOWHERE IS SAFE.

The turtle on The Amazing World of Gumball was actually an African softshell, which is a whole different world of creepiness (I can’t add pictures on mobile, but google it, seriously those things are massive and terrifying).
Turns out there are actually a lot of creepy long-necked turtles.
