Teddy Lupin did indeed inherit his father’s lycanthropy – however, the metamorphagus structure he inherited from his mother made his monthly Change virtually painless. 

The fact that his grandmother was a sharp potioneer and produced Wolfsbane potions for him once a month didn’t hurt matters either.
