i neglected to mention it in the original post, but the original dvd case i found only contained 1 dvd that included the films batman forever and batman and robin while the other 2 movies in the series batman and batman returns were missing
this morning i saw something in front of my neghbours house across the street from me

the count has gone up to 6 superman ¾ discs while only just today finding 2 superman ½ discs
who owns these dvds all in bulk
why are they being separated only to be disposed of in pairs or threes in front of my house

Hey guys! Due to the whims of fate and Amazon, I got my special edition blacklight Journal 3 ahead of schedule. I haven’t read the whole thing yet, but it’s really fantastic–full of new details and hidden messages, and the construction is loads better than the regular edition!
However, the way the blacklight ink works threw me off for a minute so I want everyone to be prepared for what to expect! It’s not like in the show where the images are clear as soon as you shine a uv light on them. You need to hold your light over an area with blacklight ink for about 5-10 seconds so it can absorb the light. Then move your light away and the ink will glow brightly in the dark. It’s a really great effect but it isn’t immediately visible which can be confusing at first.
I just saw a troubling comment on a gifset of Antiope and her badass three-arrow stunt shot at the three german soldiers on the beach. I love that moment as much as anyone. However, this comment referred to her ‘killing Nazis’. And those men were not Nazis.Â
Wonder Woman is set in WW1. Hitler would not come to power for over a decade after WW1 ended. Fascism had not yet become a political force in Europe. In fact, Germany’s treatment as a defeated aggressor instead of as an equal party in the armistice negotiations – and later the Treaty of Versailles – despite the Allies’ equal culpability for the war, directly contributed to the rise of fascism and nationalism in Germany.
Stop calling the German soldiers in Wonder Woman Nazis. One of the greatest tragedies of WW1 is that the soldiers on both sides of the trenches were hungry, young, sick, poor men, who had no stake in the war. This article talks about the experiences (at least early in the war) of both sides on the Western front meeting on no man’s land and finding little difference between one another.Â
There’s a lot to love about Wonder Woman, and I very much enjoyed it. I also loved the points in the movie when the violence done by Americans and British – such as when Diana speaks to Chief about the death of his people – were addressed as well, but they were brief. The presentation of Germans As The Bad Guys – especially since Aries’ influence was inconsistent as a plot point – has led to people mistakenly reading it as a movie about Nazis, when the Nazis did not exist in 1918. A WW1 setting does not sustain a narrative of one side being ‘heroic’ and the other ‘villainous’, especially if one takes into account the atrocities both sides had committed during the quarter century leading up to the armistice. It troubles me that this movie allows WW1 German soldiers to be read as Nazis.Â
Please stop referring to Nazis in the context of Wonder Woman.

For people who are or have been suicidal, does this or things like this help? I’m genuinely asking. I want to reblog something that actually helps, not just something I think helps.
This genuinely helps. I was suicidal for a large portion of my life, so my therapist asked me every time we spoke to tell her one thing i liked, or that made me happy. It could be anything at all. It could be something i’d already said. It didnt matter. That really helped me slowly. She also made me say something positive for every negative. If i said something like ‘i just feel so stupid all the time,’ id have to say something i felt good about, like ‘i really like the colour red.’ I didnt think that my favourite colour would make such a difference, but really, when you slowly piece together a bunch of minuscule things, soon enough you have this list of 1000 things to live for. So yes, reblog the shit out of this. Because this type of thinking saves my life every day.
