If it makes you feel nice, do it.
Don’t even worry about what other people think, because it doesn’t matter–if it brings you happiness, it’s not “ridiculous”, or “immature”.
You deserve to enjoy yourself.
I’m gonna be 40 years old this year and I do these things all the time. I run a household, am raising two children (one of whom just graduated high school) and I do at least ONE of these things every single day. If not multiples of them.
You can be a responsible adult and even parent and enjoy all these things. They have absolutely no bearing on your ability to be an adult and, in fact, will make you a MUCH HAPPIER one.
Enjoy your things, just as you always have. Responsibility and having fun are not mutually exclusive. You can do both. ♥
My therapist pointed out to me that it’s not childish to like these things it’s child-like. Child-like is a more positive way of thinking about it. Child-like means you appreciate play, fun, and wonder. Childish is more temper tantrums and throwing fits. That like literally changed my whole world view about this stuff so much and made me feel so much better and so much happier.
Also obligatory link to this lovely comic that also spells it out perfectly:
