Megatronus and Soundwave probably both silently agreed to form a trine (even though that’s more of a Seeker thing, other mech cultures do it too) and make Orion their third member-and then the war happened. Also, Gladiator Soundwave is beefy enough to gently grab Megs or Orion with his tentacles and pull him down into his lap whenever one or both of them get political and shouty when it’s not safe to be (they’re working on making it that way though). Also: Orion with datacables. Do the math. :)
