Being an unaligned medic comes with risks, it always has. For one, it means that the misfortune, those left behind, wind up upon your doorstep, with nowhere else to go save for into the arms of enemies. 

Second, it makes one a target. Those who want something done surreptitiously or contrary to cause, looking for a medic with the skills but not the morality, or with a vulnerability to exploit, those are the kinds of mechanisms who seek out the unaligned.

Contrary to most, though, Lifesupport is hardly bothered by either.

In part because she has compassion enough to go around, for those left behind.

And in part because she knows she’s simply massive and armored enough that she’s little to fear, provided she keeps her wits about her.

There hang no sigils of frowning or angular faces in her clinic, only the sectioned crosses of a medic, the jagged lines indicating refuge and repair. The boarders who pay her rent watch the doors for her, though even with unruly patients she seldom needs help beyond her symbiotes. After all, this is a place of healing, and she will see to it that her patients leave in fine health.

Come the pit or acid rain, nothing will stop her at that.
